THE OWNERS

Alan Carrell has worked with several successful showrooms in Dallas and has a proven track record in sales and customer service. Alan has also developed representation agreements with exclusive fabric and furnishing lines that are highlighted items at INTO.

Glenn Stewart has an extensive background in the energy industry, working with multi-national and petroleum trading companies while living in Houston, Aruba and Estonia. Additionally, he spent six years as a principal in a Dallas, Texas architectural design firm that specialized in retail and wholesale turn-key finish-out, throughout the U.S and Caribbean.

THE HISTORY

Alan has lived in Honolulu for five years and Glenn moved here in April of 2005 specifically to open INTO. When the two decided to go into business together, Honolulu stood out as the city they wanted to live and work in. Although a range of other, more 'traditional' retail locations were considered, none seemed to meet their expectations. That changed after the pair attended a First Friday event. The spirit of the Chinatown neighborhood was exactly what they had been seeking so the decision on location was made and INTO's doors formally opened on June 14, 2005.
